Recommending Fanfictions: Heart by Heart

So. I'm wondering how many of you just backtracked the second you saw the word fanfiction. Yeah.

Fanfictions. Some people like them, some people don't. I fall in the first category. And no. Before you ask, I don't read weird ones. My first fanfiction was a Percy Jackson fanfiction. Back then, I hadn't discovered booktube, twitter, or even YA.

Fanfiction.net is one of the few fanfiction websites where I mostly read my fanfictions. It may be hard to find the few gems , but I am here to help.

I personally don't read a lot of chick-flick books, because I prefer action stories. However, for fanfictions, I prefer the opposite. I usually like to read fanfictions when I'm on a reading slump or on a withdrawal.

I usually don't re-read books, but I do like to re-read fanfictions because they're like short cliche fluffy stories that makes me really happy.

I'm planning to share some of my favorites with you guys, making it a mini series of some kind. Here we go:

Heart by Heart is actually the first fanfiction that I was infested in. I checked constantly to see if there was a new chapter until it ended.

The letters, mini story, Word of the Wise and Thoughts for the Humble are fantastic. I suggest that you read the first chapter and then you'll be hooked in no time.

The synopsis for this story is: "Annabeth left letters in her highschool library six years ago to anyone who found them. Percy was that anyone. The last one told him to live for her. And so he did. Percy is now a famous musician and Annabeth's an aspiring author. What happens when these two meet for the first time by accident and realize just how much those letters impacted them. Is it fate? Or something more?"

"Night is when the stars come up, when the moon gets its turn to shine and that's when my mind spins, when it dreams. When I gaze at the stars and dream and then I'm taken to another world, a world of dreams and beauty. And I never want to leave. So don't leave. Don't leave your dreams ever."

P. S. Thank you to the author aka luna-incendia14 aka Mia for giving me permission to do this post :D

Check out the story here. Seriously. Check it out.

That's it for this post. So, do YOU read fanfiction? If yes, what are some of your favorites? If not, well, why not? And have you ever tried?

If you want to share some of your favorite fanfictions, it would be great if you do a kind of response post to this or leave the link in the comments for me to check out :D

  1. I don't read fanfictions because I like the original stories. Fanfictions take a perfect story and turn it into something different. Also I like the writing style of the original author. Just my opinions. However, I respect people that write fanfictions and people that read them.

    1. For me, I have separate the original story from the fanfiction. I have many different versions of Percy, for example. I have a version of him for the original story (which I adore), this fanfiction, that fanfiction, and so on. That's probably why I like them so much :)
