Top 5 Favorite Series Endings

Hi guys! Today I'm going to do a T5W with the topic of favorite series enders. This is one of my personal favorite topic, because reading a last book just feels really good, if I'm making any sense. I like tying the loose storyline thread - either the main one and the many tiny ones. It gives a sense of closure that makes me really happy. I'm going to try to not have any spoilers, so bear with me. Anyways, let's get started.

5. The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan
The last book of the PJO series wrapped up the main villain (Kronos) pretty well, especially with the epic battle(s). The early beginnings of Percabeth is oh so cute, and the action started even from the first chapter, with the unforgettable first line: "The end of the world started when a pegasus landed on the hood of my cart." Ah.... Good times, good times. And then Beckendorf and Silena.... But still, the ending with the prophecy, kiss, and peaceful camp thing won me over :)

4. City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare
I'm a tad biased for this one mostly because certain TID characters showed up, and the mini comic done by Cassandra Jean about the wedding made my heart so happy... And the ghosts... All the relationship was wrapped up with a bow (Malec!), and the funny dialogues only added to the fun.

3. Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
Couples everywhere! Of course, that's to be expected, but Isla and Josh's story was so cute! And the last few chapters with St. Clair, Anna, Lola, and Cricket is just bursting with adorableness. And then a certain huge thing happened, and ahhh so happy!

2. Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
William Herondale. And Tessa, and Cecily, Gideon, Charlotte, Gabriel, Sophie, Henry, and of course Jem. The whole cast brings back memories of awesomeness, especially when certain someones visited their parents in the very end :) Heartbreak, one after another, and the epilogue that tore my heart forever. Amazing conclusion to (one of) my favorite series.

1. Champion by Marie Lu
Ahhhhhh. That epilogue. And how it gave a brief explanation of each birthday and how June celebrated them (which, by the way, is a great way to recount the past). Then, she meets a certain someone after many years of separation (I forgot how many), and how they basically remake the fantasy of what would happen if the two characters had met in the streets like normal people. So hopeful...and that last line is just beautiful. Some of my favorites:
'I hope," he replies softly, "to get to know you again. If you are open to it. There is a fog around you that I would like to clear away."
"I've been searching for a long time for something I think I lost. I feel like I found something when I saw you back there."

And that is it! I know that it's a Thursday, and this whole thing's called the Top 5 Wednesday, but I couldn't pass this topic. Anyways, what are some of your favorite series enders? Tell me in the coments below :)

What I've Been Watching

Hi guys! As I said last week, today I'm going to talk about the things I've been watching -TV shows, movies, animes alike. This whole TV show frenzy happened somewhere at the end of last year, and know I can't stop. Seriously, I can't.

First, it started with Buffy the Vampire Slayer. After the first few episodes, I instantly grew obsessed with this show. I can't believe I finished it last week (in which I cried, by the way)... This show has some of the most heartbreaking death/scenes. I'll tell you guys about it in the end of this post so that I won't spoil anybody. My favorite character would probably be Willow because of how much she grew, and she's just amazing and Anya because she is hilarious.

Angel, the spinoff series, I didn't like as much as Buffy, I don't know why, but it's never been the same. My favorite episode would have to be I Will Remember You, because of how heartbreaking it is (some of you will know what I'm talking about. Eight now I'm on episode 2 of the last season, because I'm waiting for my friend to catch up to me on Naruto.

Once Upon a Time is a proof of one of the things I do, which is having to finish what I start no matter how off track it's gone. Plus, it's gotten more interesting what with Maleficent added in the mix and all that. I also started and finished Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, and I really like Will :)

Now onto the anime side. I first watched Naruto nearly 5 years ago when I was still in Indonesia. It would play on TV in the few minutes before I had to go to school, so I had already watched bits of it. Right now I'm on episode 88 of the Shippuden (even though I want to watch the movies too). I'm really like Shikamaru and Gaara right now, but that might change since I still have tons and tons of more episode to go.

The next two animes were ones that I just started and finished on a whim. Say "I Love You" and Au Haru Ride (Blue Spring Ride) are both cutesy romance stories that made me really happy (and sometimes frustrated too) and was more of a feel good story, but they're still great.

On Saturday, I watched Into the Woods, didn't think much of it. I was expecting something awesome because of the actors in it, but was sort of disappointed.

Some movies that I want to watch next are Paper Towns and Insurgent. By the way, do you guys think I should read Paper Towns first? Is it good? I might start either Doctor Who or Sherlock because a good friend of mine is a huge fangirl of the two TV shows and they sound pretty interesting.

Anyways, that's it for today. Thanks for reading and I'll see you next week :)

SCROLL DOWN FOR BUFFY TALK WITH SPOILERS

Some of the scenes/death that broke my heart was when Tara died, because the effect that it had on Willow tore my heart to pieces even though I'm guilty of loving dark Willow. When Anya had to endure the pain of walking the isle alone... And her vows when she said that she finally gets love (while Xander is walking in the rain) SOBS. And the sudden death of Anya in the last episode... WHY....

Teaser Tuesday - Hex Hall

Hi guys! Today's post will be a Teaser Tuesday, a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading (check her out here).  This week's is going to be from Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins.

If you want to join, you're always welcome. You just need to follow these steps:
-Grab your current read
-Open to a random page
-Share 2 "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page (for me, I'm taking the two quotes from different pages)
-Make sure to not include spoiler
-Share the title and author

'"Very good!" I heard the Vandy say from far off. I was literally seeing stars, and every ragged breath I took felt like I was trying to breathe through broken glass.
On the upside, my crush on Archer was totally gone. Over. Once a boy has slammed his k neecap into your rib cage, I tihnk any romantic feelings should naturally go to the way of the ghost.'

'"What..." I broke off and cleared my throat. "What is this place?"
Alice was gazing up at the angel with a faint smile. "A secret," she answered.'

And that's it! Next week's post will be about things I'm watching or have watched in the past few weeks -both TV shows and anime. I just finished Buffy last night, and I can't believe it's over... *deep breath. Okay, anyways thanks for reading, and I'll see you next week! (If you want to leave a link to your Teaser Tuesday, please do so, I want to check them out :)

Top 5 Books I Wanted to Start Yesterday

Hi guys! Today's a Wednesday, so it's T5W time! Whew, it's been a while, hasn't it? Anyways, this week's topic I really like, because if you've seen my Goodreads tbr (and it's huge), you know that I have A LOT of book that I've been meaning to read, so the topic of "books I wanted to start yesterday" is perfect. I couldn't narrow it down to only five, so I have two honorable mentions (I'm hoping that's allowed). Let's just get started!

Honorable mentions:
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
The Body Electric by Beth Revis

5. Thirteen Reason Why by Jay Rasher
I don't know why I want to read this book. I really don't. Something about the synopsis and cover just grabbed me and left me wanting to read it. But I haven't because I'm lazy/forgetful. I cannot wait to get into this book :)

4. Island and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
The two previous books by Stephanie Perkins made me so happy (especially Lola), and I know that Anna & Lola are going to appear in the book, so I'm pumped. I've been wanting to read this book since I read Lola last year, but I don't want the series to end...

3. The Winner Curse by Marie Rutkoski
This book is supposedly a hidden gem, and most of my goodreads friends said it was REALLY good, which made me want to read it -even though I had no idea what it's about. Now after reading the synopsis, it doesn't really sound that interesting, but I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt and I still want to read it. Any thoughts?

2. Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
As I've said many times, everybody LOVES this book -or at least Brandon Sanderson. He has been called a genius by some of my favorite booktuberes, and the plot sounds amazing. I've been told of plot twists, magic, action, and everything else in between that would leave me speechless. Sounds good to me :)

1. Fairest by Marissa Meyer
Last but certainly not least, is the companion book in one of my favorite series. I found it in the library a few days ago, and have been desperately wanting to read it, but I'm in the middle of two other books that I also like. I want to have the time to soak it in, so I don't want to be reading this book while reading something else, and I can't stand to drop the books I'm reading right now. The struggle... Anyways, I WILL be reading this book as soon as I finish The Exiled QuuenC& These Broken Stars.

Anyways, that's it for today's post. It's a little late, but I was doing homework, so....

What are some books you wanted to start yesterday? Tell me in the comments below :)

Naruto

I just finished the Naruto anime (not shippuden) about 5 seconds ago, and oh my god was that awesome. The last 5 minutes of episode 220 made me so happy.... With Jiraiya back, and FINALLY telling Naruto that he was actually on a mission to investigate Akatsuki. Sakura has become pretty great in the medical field and Ino is joining. Gaara was SO baddass when he defeated the resurrected founder of i-forgot-the-name village with the spear and quicksand and all. And now he has a subordinate! Awesome! Neji has become less of a heartless i'm-above-all-of-you type person, and Hinata is no longer the shy stalker girl. Okay. She is all of that, but you've got to admit she's pretty cool.
Now I'm talking favorites. My favorite fight was Rock Lee/Gaara vs the bone-user person. You know, the one that used his backbone as a sword and shot bones from his hand. That was pretty awesome. My favorite character would have to be... Hmmm... This is actually pretty hard. Maybe Gaara because of his baddasery even though he doesn't appear that much. Hinata is also cool (post Chunnin Exam, that is). Oh! Shikamaru is also brilliant because his laziness is just hilarious. There's this picture from pinterest that I found the other day, that was about Shikamaru that made me laugh so hard. I'll link it.

I also have a pinterest board dedicated to all things Naruto because let's face it. I'm becoming obsessed with this anime. And really, I don't mind the fillers. Anyways, I'm planning to watch Shippuden soon with a friend of mind. We've been fangirling about Naruto together and it's great. Anyways, that's it for right now. I have a post planned telling all about things I've been watching, and I was going to post this then, but I couldn't help it. Anyways, thanks for reading, and if you're also in the Naruto fandom (yes, people, I know that the manga ended), feel free to message me on goodreads so we can talk. :)
